Satin Matte Foundation + Our Favorite Companion Products
Finding the best foundation match for your skin is a total game changer--but it doesn't stop with Satin Matte Foundation. From brushes and primer to concealer and finishing powder, these companion products make the most of your SMF with customizable coverage, all-day shine control, and a smooth matte or glowing finish.
Step 1: Brush Up
Satin Matte Foundation allows for flexible coverage you can customize each time you apply your makeup, so our AP Brush Collection includes the all tools you need to achieve different levels of coverage.
The Foundation BrushFor sheer to medium coverage, apply with the Foundation Brush. You'll still be able to see your freckles with fewer pores and fine lines. Apply in sheer layers, and add more coverage as desired.
The Flat Top Brush
For fuller coverage from the start, apply Satin Matte Foundation with the Flat Top Brush. The Flat Top Brush has firm, densely packed bristles smooth and buff for an even application and quick, easy coverage. Your skin will have a velvet matte finish.
Step 2: Prime Time
Oily skin, meet your match. Formulated with just four ingredients including kaolin (a.k.a. China clay), Balancing Primer Powder is a silky-smooth mattifier that keeps your T-zone happy and your Satin Matte Foundation looking fabulous. Balancing Primer Powder is ultra-lightweight, breathable, and absorbent. You'll probably find that less Satin Matte Foundation is necessary after you apply Balancing Primer Powder. Apply to oil-prone areas or in a sheer layer over your entire face, and follow with Satin Matte Foundation.
Concealer + Concealer Brush
For dark circles, redness, or hyperpigmentation, apply Concealer to enhance your Satin Matte Foundation coverage. Blend Concealer downward from the under eye area with the Concealer Brush to brighten and neutralize dark circles, and finish with a layer of Satin Matte Foundation over the top for ultra-smooth coverage. Spot-conceal redness and blemishes for extra coverage. (The Contour Shadow Brush and the Allover Shadow Brush are great for spot coverage near the eyes and nose too!)
Step 4: Finishing Touches
Finishing powder helps to set your makeup, and adds dimension or a little extra coverage.
When worn over Satin Matte Foundation, Satin Finishing Powder gives an extra smoothing layer of velvety goodness. For formal events, it’s great for a hint of extra coverage that is still fresh and natural-looking.
Radiant Finishing Powder adds luminosity that's like standing in good lighting all day. Sweep it along your cheekbones and brow bone, or any other place where the light naturally hits your face.
