Mother's Day Gift Guide

Alima Pure was founded in 2004 by Kate O’Brien, who saw the need for her daughter, Sara, to have access to natural, safe makeup. This type of makeup was not readily available at the time, so Kate began making it herself. Though Alima Pure has grown from the attic where it all began, the act of nurturing and creating will always be in our bones.

This Mother’s Day, we want to honor our incredible mothers, but also the people in our lives who embody the spirit of mothers. People who care for us, teach us, and encourage us to grow. These gifts are for all the mothers in your life, in any way they may exist.

Succulents are having a bit of a moment, and these sweet West Elm Terrariums are amazing for showcasing a green thumb. Plants aren’t her thing? The geometric shapes also look great filled with crystals or stones.

What to Do When I’m Gone by Suzy Hopkins and Hallie Bateman

This book is the ideal mix of sweet, tender, and uplifting-sad (you know that feeling?). Illustrator Hallie Bateman realized with fear that her mother would one day be gone. So, she commissioned her mom to write a book with day-by-day instructions on how to live after she’s gone. Amidst recipes for fajitas, chili, and quiche, you’ll find advice on rollerblading, heartbreak, and growing up.

A Treasure Box

Jewelry, letters, and photographs will be held safe and chic in this gorgeous Marbled Teak Box from Anthropologie.

 A Wine Tasting

If you live near the Willamette Valley, Crafted Experience curates an amazing day of wine tasting. The day trip includes pick up and drop off, a stop at a local coffee roaster, a meeting with a winemaker,  4 wine tastings, and a catered picnic lunch. You’ll be the favorite child in no time.

Alima Pure Lip Tint

MoviePass

Movie Pass could be the best deal of all time. For $9.95 a month, you can see up to one movie a day at participating movie theatres (91% of theaters participate). If your mom lives close by, MoviePass is a great excuse to have a standing monthly date, and if she lives far away it’s fun to see the same movie and chat about it afterward.
