Our products are officially cooler than we are because they went to the Met Gala while we stayed home and watched. We were so happy that makeup artist, Mai Quynh, used all Alima Pure products on actor, Riley Keough, at the 2018 Met Gala. We love the final look and the surprising product responsible for Riley's gorgeous deep lip. We asked our makeup artist, Hannah, to walk us through Riley's glam look, and give us some pointers on how to make this gorgeous look work for everyday.

 Face

To get this look, I would start by dabbing a little bit of the Cream Concealer to the undereye and over any other little spots I want to cover. I like to blend it with my ring finger. It’s the most gentle. Riley wore our Cream Concealer in Echo.

Mai used our Liquid Silk Foundation in Echo on Riley, but my current favorite foundation formula is our Satin Matte Foundation. Use whichever formula works best for you. I like to apply a sheer layer all over the face with our Foundation Brush to even out the skin.

Riley wore our Bronzer in Mauna Loa. Mauna Loa is great for adding dimension back into the face. It adds a touch of color that leaves skin looking naturally sunkissed. I use our Sculpting Brush to blend it along the cheekbones, hairline, and chin.

Cheeks

Our Luminous Shimmer Blush in Lily is a beautiful peach tone. It has a matte base, so it gives your skin a pop of color with just a hint of shimmer. I just tap a little onto the apples of the cheeks with our Blush Brush. Super subtle, and so pretty.

Mai highlighted Riley cheekbones and nose with our Luminous Shimmer Eyeshadow in Leone. I’m opting for our Pressed Eyeshadow in Gamine for a more subtle glow to highlight the cheekbones, bridge of the nose, brow bone and inner corner of the eye. I like to use my fingers to apply this, but our Highlighter Brush works perfectly too.

Eyes

Our Natural Definition Brow Pencil in Blonde is slated to be back in stock this summer. I’m sure I’m not the only one wanting to get my hands on one! Mai was lucky enough to score a pre-production sample of Blonde to perfect Riley’s brows. The texture of this natural eyebrow pencil is creamy and blends into brows flawlessly. I brush the brows up with our Spoolie Brush and lightly flick small strokes of color to maximize the shape and fullness. Then I go through the brows with our Spoolie once more to blend and soften the color. For darker brows, we have Brunette and Raven in stock currently!

Before applying eyeshadow I always give the lashes a good curl. Combining our Pressed Eyeshadows in Instinct and Luxe gives you a really pretty muted bronzed eye. It’s not an exact science, just pick up both colors with your brush and blend until you achieve the color you want. The Mini Blending Brush is a great all-in-one eye brush. Mai kept the eye really soft, but if you want to intensify the look just use our Eye Primer underneath or use a slightly damp brush.

Finish the look with two coats of our Natural Definition Mascara in Black. Allow the first coat to completely dry before you go in with the second application. As it's drying, I will run the same Spoolie Brush I used for the brows through the lashes to keep them separated and give them more fullness.

 Lips

I love that Mai got creative and used our Natural Definition Eye Pencil in Coffee on the lips. Start by lining the lips and then blend the color towards that center of the mouth with your finger to create an ombre effect.

Last but not least, dab a little bit of our natural Lip Tint in Paprika over the top of the lips.
