5 Makeup Artist Essentials

We asked our resident makeup artist, Hannah, which 5 Alima Pure products she would take with her to a desert island. Ever-practical, Hannah said she probably wouldn’t take makeup to a desert island, but she indulged us nonetheless. Below, Hannah breaks down her must have Alima Pure Face, Eye, Cheek, and Lip products plus her favorite AP Makeup Brushes and Tools.

"My daily routine is made up of products that I can apply as easily and quickly as possible. #Lifehack, I am known to do my makeup in the morning as my car warms up.To clarify, not while driving—safety first. I favor creamy formulas that I can apply with my finger and blend for a really natural “I’m not wearing anything” look."

Alima Pure Cream Concealer

 Face: Cream Concealer

“I wear Cream Concealer in Echo. It’s easy, blendable coverage that looks natural. I like it because my skin is dry skin, and it helps to hydrate and brighten my undereye. I don’t leave home without it."

Natural Definition Mascara Alima Pure
Eyes: Natural Definition Eye Pencil

“I love Coffee! It gives a softer look than the standard black liner. It is super creamy and I can easily smudge out with my fingertip for that lived-in look or keep it sharpened to a point if I want a really precise line. Plus, the warm brown tone plays up blue/green eyes. I always curl my lashes even if I don’t wear mascara. It instantly makes me look more awake.”

Alima Pure Blackberry Lip Tint

Cheeks: Lip Tint

“I dab Lip Tint in Blackberry straight from the tube along my upper cheekbone and pat in with my middle and fourth finger. It has the perfect amount of color to perk me up and feel pulled together.”

Alima Pure Lip Tint

Lip: Lip Tint

“I tap on color straight from the tube or blend it out if I want a sheer stain. I have  been into Blackberry lately, but I keep about five different shades of Lip Tint in my bag most days. I like options, and they are so easy to just pop on and go.”

Alima Pure Mini Blending Brush

Tool

“Fingers obvi, but I love our Spoolie...coming soon. The Mini Blending, Soft Focus, and Concealer Brush are my most used brushes if I am doing a bit more.” Read next: From the Chair: Hannah's Favorite Alima Pure Makeup Accessories.
