Since summer is slowly inching its way to Portland, we can’t help but dream of taking a vacation to the most “glam” summer vacation spot on the eastern shore. What better way to get in the mood for cocktail parties and sand than by planning a packing list perfect for the Hamptons?

When you first meet someone who is blessed with a willowy figure and long, naturally blonde hair (not to mention the fleeting but powerful possession of youth), it may be difficult to tame your internal green-eyed monster. However, meeting our April Naturally Gorgeous model quickly turns the monster into a purring kitten. Logan meets the world with humbleness and warmth, and after just a short time in her company, you just know…this is a young woman guided by her heart. Her love of family and animals and her wish to be with loved ones whenever possible, combined with her stunning appearance, make Logan truly Naturally Gorgeous.
AP: What do you do for a living?
LG: I currently work in childcare and am in the process of pursuing a career within the field of Occupational Therapy.
AP: What do you do for fun?
LG: I like to go on adventures that have no true destination. When the weather is nice I like to be outdoors at all times, preferably near any body of water. I have the most fun when I am surrounded by the people I love; when that is the case I am happy doing anything.
AP: What should people know about you?
LG: I am really bad at lying, so it never happens.
AP: What do you really care about?
LG: Animals, I think they are the most important things in the world.
AP: Do you have any pets?
LG: Two Golden Retrievers and a Betta Fish.
AP: How do you define beauty?
LG: I define beauty as anything that makes an individual stop and completely forget about everything around them while they stand in complete awe of what they are seeing, hearing, tasting, touching or smelling.
AP: What makes you feel beautiful?
LG: I feel most beautiful when I bring true happiness to another person, even if it is extremely subtle.
AP: What scares you?
LG: The thought of living in a different state from my family.
AP: What surprises people about you?
LG: I prefer hip hop and hate celery.
AP: Who would you invite to your fantasy dinner party?
LG: Both sets of deceased Grandparents along with my mother and father, just so they could all have one more visit together.
AP: If you were given an all-expense-paid vacation that you had to take next week, where in the world would you go and what would you do?
LG: I would go to Spain and arrange for a meet-up with my closest friend of fifteen years, who is currently working for the Peace Corps in Morocco. In Spain we would meet new people, eat lots of meals and tell each other the stories that we’ve missed from each other’s lives over the past seven months.
We applied Logan’s Satin Matte Foundation in Olive 1 with the #25 brush to give her a perfect canvas. Logan loves to be outdoors in the sun, but Oregon hadn’t seen the sun in a while, so we faked a tiny bit of glow with Satin Matte Bronzer in Mauna Loa applied with the #23 Kitten Brush. To make the glow more realistic, we gave her cheeks a flush of pink with Satin Matte Blush in Raspberry on the #17 Blush Brush.
From lashes to brows, we swept Pearluster Eye Shadow in Silk on with the #37 Blending Brush. To bring out the green in her eyes, we used the #39 Large Shadow Brush to layer some Satin Matte Eye Shadow in Lilac on her lid. We lined Logan's upper lash line with a bit of damp Black Cherry Luminous Shimmer Eye Liner. To finish the look, we used Organic Nourishing Lip Balm in Sweet Pea.
Valentine’s Day is definitely all about living “the sweet life.” With that in mind, Alima Pure has created La Dolce Vita - four seasonal eyeshadow colors to bring a little extra sweetness to your look, all without one extra calorie or fat gram.
Cupcake is a sweet, shimmery pink, as light and frothy as it’s namesake.
Petit Four is a sparkling beige with sparks of gold, as irresistible as the little cakes of the same name.
Tiramisu is a much-loved shade making a return appearance. If you were lucky enough to receive last year’s “Alima Signature Colors” stack of three shades, you have seen Tiramisu before. A shimmery, light-to-medium brown, Tiramisu will surely be a go-to color for many.
Mousse is named for dark chocolate mousse; deep enough to satisfy but not so heavy as to overwhelm. Our Mousse features a lovely golden shimmer.
As an added bonus, you will receive a deluxe sample of Meringue, a sparkling white.
La Dolce Vita “Sweet” look
Apply Cupcake from lashes to brow. Sweep Tiramisu into the crease, blending well. Apply Petit Four under lower lashes, from the outer corner and stopping about 2/3 of the way in. With a damp brush, line the upper lid with Mousse.
Use a matte pink blush like Pink or Raspberry on the apples of the cheek and apply a tiny bit of Cupcake shadow on the tops of cheekbones.
Finish with a pink balm like Acai or Rhubarb.
La Dolce Vita “Sultry” look
Apply Meringue from crease to brow, and Petit Four from lashes to crease. Use Mousse as a liner on top and bottom lashes, smudging well. Place Tiramisu directly above Mousse on the upper lid, blending it upwards toward the crease. Add a bit of Mousse to the outer corner and crease, blending well.
Apply a soft, earthy blush like Carnation to apples of cheeks and blend back towards ear.
Use a deeper lip balm like Cranberry, and apply liberally, then gently blot to leave a soft stain.
