1.  Apply your shade of Satin Matte Foundation (Emma is a Warm 1) with a #25 Brush to freshly moisturized skin. For this look, try for sheer coverage by blending your Satin Matte Foundation more than usual (buffing with a tissue can be really helpful here).

2. With your #3 Concealer Brush use the same Satin Matte Foundation  to cover any imperfections on the face and blend outward.

3. Next use a #23 Kitten Brush to lightly dust Olympia Radiant Finishing Powder over your face to set your foundation and to create subtle radiance.

4. Pop Melon Satin Matte Blush onto the apples of the cheeks, and then blend to the hairline with your #23 Kitten Brush (with the leftover Olympia Radiant Powder on the bristles). This creates a gentle terracotta glowing blush.

5.  For more even more radiance use the same #23 Kitten Brush and brush Dolce Highlighter over the tops of the cheekbones, down the bridge of the nose, and right onto the cupid’s bow.

6. Prep the eyes with a wash of Silk Pearluster Eyeshadow over the lids and up to the brow bone using a #39 Large Eyeshadow Brush.

7. Next, use a #36 Pointed Crease Brush to apply Toffee Pearluster Eyeshadow onto the lower lid and sweep upwards into the crease, blending outward to create warm drama.

8. With the #33 Angle Liner Brush line the upper and bottom lashes with Paparazzi Luminous Shimmer Eyeliner smudging as you go to create extra shadow and softness.

9. Finish the eyes by curling the lashes and applying two coats of Natural Definition Mascara in black to both the top and bottom lashes.

10. Finally, finish the look with two coats of Lotus Lip Tint - it’s the perfect raspberry pink shade to compliment this effortlessly glam look. Have fun!

Dust, glow and go!

Formerly known as our “Luminous Shimmer Powders,” our natural mineral Highlighters are a great pick-me-up for the cheeks, forehead, eyes and shoulders. Lightly dust under the eyes, above the brows and on the browbone to add life and brightness to your peepers, or add a dab above your cupid’s bow for a fuller pout.

Incandescent and brightening, our Highlighters can also perk up your complexion, accentuate the features you love and add an overall youthful, healthy glow. They are free of irritants, dyes, fillers, gluten and toxins and certified natural by BDIH. Go ahead—highlight and radiate your inner beauty. It’s illuminating.

Get the Look: Kate Hudson’s Red Carpet Look

Posted on March 06, 2014 by Alyson Hancock | 0 Comments

Kate Hudson looked radiant on the red carpet at this year’s Oscars event. Her elegant 40’s inspired look was complimented by her sun-kissed glowing skin, subtle smoky eye, and nude lip.  We have recreated Kate’s picture perfect look using Alima Pure products in these 10 simple steps below.

1. Start with the Satin Matte Foundation that matches your skin tone. If you haven’t found your match yet, you might want to use our Foundation Selector. To keep your look dewy and light, try mixing your foundation with some of your moisturizer in the palm of your hand and apply as you would a liquid foundation.

2. Sweep Mauna Loa Bronzer into the hollows of the cheek and blend to your hairline to great some warmth and contour to the face.

3. Highlight with Lumina Luminous Shimmer Powder across your cheekbones, forehead and down the bridge of the nose with a #23 Kitten Brush.

4. With a #33 Liner/Brow Brush and a light hand define your eyebrows with your eye brow color of choice. We suggest Blond for lighter brows, Raven and Mahogany for  medium brows, and Espresso for the darkest of brows.

5. Define the top and bottom lash lines with Black Satin Matte Eyeliner using a wet #33 Liner/Brow Brush.

6. Apply Champagne Pearluster Eyeshsadow all over the lid up to the brow to prep the lid.

7. To add warmth to lid apply Mocha Pearluster Eyeshadow into the corners of the eyelid and wing out while blending back to the eye.

8. For a little something special sweep Carnavale Luminous Shimmer Liner right into the corners of the eyelids and blend with the Mocha with a #37 Blending Brush.

9. Liberally apply two coats of the Natural Definition Mascara in Black.

10. Finish the look with Sweet Pea Lip Tint for a naturally gorgeous pink pout.

Posted on January 03, 2014 by Terresa Clark | 0 Comments

As we head in to 2014, we have spent some time looking both back and forward. One thing that we realized is that we really loved our “Naturally Gorgeous” campaign that wrapped up at the end of 2012. It is a theme that resonates for us because we believe that every woman is gorgeous, even if she doesn’t fit the supermodel version of “beautiful.”
