Alima Pure Valentine Limited Edition Mineral Eyeshadow Collection Love Stories

  • Penelope – a gorgeous beige-pearl, named for the faithful wife of Odysseus in Homer’s Odyssey.  Penelope stayed faithful to Odysseus during his 20-year absence.  Penelope is a perfect base shade, and lovely, delicate highlight to the brow-bone.
  • Juliet – a softly shimmering orchid, named for Shakespeare’s most celebrated heroine.  Juliet Capulet was young, headstrong and unafraid to challenge convention or her family’s wishes.  Juliet is bright on the skin, calling attention to your eyes without being overly obvious.
  • Beatrice – a spicy, dark-chocolate shimmer named for another heroine from Shakespeare, Beatrice is a clever girl who just needed a bit of coaxing to admit her love for someone that everyone else knew was her perfect match!  Beatrice is perfect as a crease color, but can be worn on the whole lid for a smokier look.
  • Josephine – an elegant, nearly-black brown named for the first Empress of France.  Napoleon’s desire for an heir led to their divorce, but he admitted that she was the love of his life, and her name was recorded as his last word on his deathbed.  Josephine is the perfect eyeliner--deeper than brown, not as harsh as black; and can also be worn in the outer corner or crease when you want extra drama.

True Love Look:

Apply Penelope from crease to brows.

Sweep Juliet onto the lid, from lashes to crease.

Apply Beatrice into the crease and outer corner.

Line with Josephine on a damp brush.

Apply Pink Satin Matte Blush the apples of the cheeks.

Finish the look with Rhubarb Organic Nourishing Lipbalm.

Smoldering glances look:

Sweep Penelope from the crease to brow.

Apply Beatrice from lashes to crease.

Gently apply a bit of Josephine in the crease and outer corner, blending well.

With a damp brush, apply Josephine to the upper lash line, extending the line up and out at the outer corner.

Using a dry brush, apply Beatrice along the outer 1/3 of lower lashes.

Apply Carnation Satin Matte Blush to the apples of cheeks, and a generous coat of Holly Berry Organic Nourishing Lipbalm to the lips.

Complete the look with the Satin Finishing Powder of your choice.

Love Stories makes a better gift than chocolates, and you can also treat yourself!

I’ve been playing with this set for a week and couldn’t be more pleased . . . the Josephine color in particular is just spectacular – a perfect soft liner as well as a dramatic crease color.

I resisted buying this collection initially as I already have MANY alima eyeshadows, both shimmer and matte, but I needed a little extra romance—The descriptors on these colors made it so hard to resist!, so i caved. So glad I did, I tried the true love look and it really made my green eyes pop! Now I can’t wait to see what happens with smoldering glances….
