Pure Satisfaction

We love our customers, and we want to be sure our customers love their Alima Pure.  To help us with that goal, we are announcing a new policy...Pure Satisfaction.  Pure Satisfaction is our guarantee that you will love any full-sized product you purchase from us, or you can return it (no questions asked) within 30 days.

One of our commitments as a company is to continually improve our impact on the environment.   We reached a point where the most meaningful thing we could do was to eliminate some of our samples.  We have long struggled with sending all of those little plastic jars out into the world, hoping they would be responsibly recycled, but we couldn't really be sure.  We understand that a few of our customers will be saddened by this, but going forward, we will not be offering samples of eyeshadows and eyeliners.  We will continue to provide you free eye shadow samples with your orders and hope that this is a way to find new favorites.

We believe finding your foundation shade is important and can be difficult online  -  so we will still offer foundation samples, as well as blush, finishing powder, bronzer and concealer samples.  But for eyeshadows and eye liners, products where matching is not really involved, rest assured that you can read our descriptions, ask our advice if you like and make your choices with confidence...because if you don't love it, you can return it.   See our Pure Satisfaction Guarantee for details.

I admire your commitment to the environment but not having a sample will make it difficult for me and I imagine many of your other customers to shop for eyeshadows and eyeliners. Is there not an option for environmentally friendly packaging? I’ve seen small brown recycled envelopes/pouches. At least please allow buyers to select what color samples to get with an order. Just randomly getting something is not as helpful as being able to choose specific shades. Thanks for making these great products available to us!

Bummer, I haven’t ordered anything since before Christmas, and I really wanted to order more eye shadow samples. Would it be possible to give customers the option of which samples they would like with an order in the future? Is it possible samples could be available in alternative packaging, like mini plastic baggies? Returning online orders is just a huge pain so I’m pretty disappointed since I’m unlikely to purchase any full sized products if I haven’t tried a sample of it before. Samples were what I liked best about your company…

Unfortunately we cannot let customers choose their own samples at this time because of a website limitation. We would definitely do it if we could. As far as mini plastic baggies, they are not better from an environmental standpoint than the jars are, and they are far more difficult to use. They are also very difficult to fill, which is why we switched all of our free samples to jars. Please do keep in mind that you can return any full size products that don’t work out for you. We hope that you find other things to like about Alima Pure!

Thanks so much! You’re correct – returned product cannot (and would not) be resold. In some cases it is suitable for in-house testers, photography, and photoshoots.

I appreciate what you are doing and respect your choice of whats best for your company. I am sad that in my eyes that samples helped me judge what I liked best and therefore can afford once i did like a shade. Not every shade is for me. Also I am discouraged that IF I did not like a shade that even returning it would still cost me. I live on a VERY limited budget.

Thanks for your understanding, Carol. We continue to believe in samples, and that’s why we include two free eyeshadow samples with every order.

It is rather sad that there aren’t anymore eyeshadow samples. However, now that I have an explanation, I understand completely why this new change was implemented. It is absolutely wonderful that Alima Pure is so conscious about the environment. I know too many individuals who do not recycle even if they see a recycling bin near by. Although my spirits are dampened, I am glad the executives decided to change the policy leading to a more progressive future. Now only if ferric ferrocyanide was eliminated from all shadows, I could try a lot more of them.

My only concern now is… What’s going to happen with the products that may be returned? Actual makeup cannot be recycled/repackaged.

Best of Luck with future endeavours. =}
