Alima Pure Staff Favorites

Mariama has worked at Alima Pure for three years.  During the school year, she splits her time between Alima Pure and a teaching job, teaching handwork to elementary students. When she is off teaching, we miss her infectious laugh and dazzling smile, but we know the students are benefiting from our loss!

Mariama wears Satin Matte Foundation in Warm 6, so we applied that over her entire face. Then we highlighted her cheeks with Satin Matte Blush in Melon, which Mariama loves because it looks so natural.

We used Mariama's favorite shadows, Luminous Shimmer in Leone from her crease to her brow, and Satin Matte in Bayou on her lid. Then we dusted a bit of Luminous Shimmer in Brown Sugar over the whole thing. We finished with Luminous Shimmer Eye Liner in Maya in the crease and used damp as a liner. A touch of Satin Matte Eye Liner in Espresso filled in her brows.

The finishing touch was our Organic Nourishing Lip Balm in Cranberry. This super easy look has enough sparkle to fit Mariama's personality, but is quick and easy enough to apply before rushing off for a day of teaching little people!

Mariama looks beautiful. Is her foundation a tad too dark? Her neck is a shade lighter.

Hello AW! Mariama’s face is actually darker than her neck, so she looks with her makeup on the same as she would with no makeup on, except that her skintone on her face is evened out. We always recommend you match your foundation to your face, even if your neck is a different shade (most people’s are). If the difference is striking and it bothers you, you can adjust the foundation slightly, to bring the two closer together, but if you match your foundation to your neck, it will look odd on your face.
