How to use Mineral Eyeliner
Alima carries two types of mineral eyeliner: Satin Matte Eyeliner is richly pigmented, for a sultry, smoky look, and Luminous Shimmer Eyeliner has a dose of shimmer, allowing for a more glam look.
Learning to use mineral eyeliner may take a little practice, but it’s totally worth it. Here are some great ways to make it easier:
- Dampen your brush (water is fine; eye drops work well), at least slightly, to help the minerals adhere.
- Work the liner into the brush a bit, to minimize sprinkling onto your cheeks.
- Once the color is on the lash-line, you can smudge it with a dry brush if you want a more subtle, diffused line.
With practice, you may be able to forgo the dampening of the brush and just work the liner into your dry brush, but at first the damp brush will help you get a precise, “sprinkle-free” line. If you do end up with a bit of eyeliner on your cheek, don’t worry; just blot it off with a damp tissue and touch up with your foundation powder if necessary.
